ISSA Regional Match
April 25, 26, 27, 2014The Schuetzenguilde's 2014 Regional ISSA match was attended by 13 competitors over the three days of April 25, 26 and 27. We had quite windy weather on Friday, and wind with some spitting rain on Saturday. Sunday was a much nicer day with conditions more conducive to good scores. It was nice to welcome back a couple of return visitors - Mr. Jerry Willis and Mr. Tom Slatten - who proceeded to show us how to shoot the anysight benchrest match! Match winner was Mr. Bill Polkinhorn with very consistent shooting across the board. Congratulations Bill! Several of our members put on a demonstration/match for the Zimmerstutzen rifles for those who wished to try their hand at it. They are amazingly accurate and a lot of fun to shoot! Thanks go to Mr. Russ Hooks for putting on the match and providing the dinner on Saturday evening, Mr. John Thiele for providing prizes and awards, and to Mr. Fred Nace for his help in running the match.
