| The Schützenguilde held its annual 40 caliber and over match on 25 June, 20017, with 9 shooters attending. The match is shot with big bore rifles, fixed ammunition and iron sights. We had very nice shooting conditions with light breezes, but it got hot early. Temp was 102 F by the end of the match! Overall winner and custodian of the Col. Stodter Trophy for the next year is Russ Hooks with some very fine and consistent iron sight shooting. Congratulations Russ! The 300 yard leg of the match was won by Al Sledge shooting his 40-65 with black powder and paper patched bullets. Good shooting Al! | |
