San Diego SchuetzenguildeThe Schuetzenguilde had a total of 15 competitors over the three days. Keith Meyers came over from Las Vegas for the "Traveler" award. We had 3 new (to us) shooters: Jay and Curran Unruh - father and son, and Gavin Thompson - grandson of Jim Lennon. Both the juniors shot well and had a good time. We hope to see all of them back with us again in the future. Our centerfire matches were cut down from 100 shots to 60 in order to accommodate a previously scheduled match on Saturday. We had some rainy/misty weather on Friday and some rather breezy conditions on Saturday and Sunday, but all in all a good time. Thanks go to our Schuetzenmeister, Russ Hooks for putting on a great match, as well as providing a tasty meal on Saturday (and Sunday's lunch). We would also like to thank Mr. John Theile for providing awards and prizes, as well as everyone who pitched in to help out! |
